ARUTEL alarm server
Supplementary application: Announcement server - info hotline - public hotline
The TAS announcement server called ARUTEL allows using a PC database for storing announcement texts, which can be retrieved by phone. To manage this, ARUTEL is connected with an existing phone system or exchange line. This way, different texts can be retrieved by calling different phone numbers / direct dialling-in numbers.
Several callers can retrieve the information they need at the same time, and all callers are able to listen to their announcement texts immediately and from the beginning. Because voice announcements are stored in a compressed way on the hard drive, an almost unlimited storage capacity in respect of length of announcement is possible. The number of texts which can be administrated is unlimited.
An additional client software installation does not apply, because operation or configuration is carried out by using a web browser.
Typical application areas:
- Environmental and traffic information, like flood warnings, depth of snow and weather information
- Up to date news and notes on what to do in the event of industrial or fire rescue emergencies, or public hotline for information and reassurance
- Announcement service for EDP companies, stock exchanges, cinemas or theatres and general events
- Announcement service in connection with call centre solutions
- Announcement service in connection with conferences, e.g. in hotels, at a congress, etc.
Features of the ARUTEL info server module:
- 19" rack format, 1 rack unit
- Q-Sig or EDSS1 protocol
- Configuration for S2M or S0 lines possible
- Expandable to a capacity of up to 120 B-channels
- Highest reliability thanks to LAN connection possible
- Operation via web browser

Additional info server features:
Announcement texts can be recorded from any (authorised) phone worldwide. Depending on the situation, texts may be voice-recorded on the spot, and will be available for callers immediately afterwards.
Moreover, existing text components (in .pcm format or in any converted format) may be administrated by using a PC.
All texts may be defined, altered, deleted or protected from over-recording by using a web browser.
Essential data of all phone calls are recorded to the second. The log file collects the time and caller ID (as far as the caller ID from the calling party is transmitted) and the call duration. Evaluation and printing at a later stage is possible.
