Telephone conference module

The KOMMUTEL DIAL IN-module enables telephone conferences of up to 30 participants (or a multiple) and will be integrated in the telecommunication equipment.

Features of the module:

  • 19" format, 1 HE
  • Protocol EDSS1
  • Extendable to up to 120 channels
  • fits to almost all PABX / Switches
  • Power Consumption: 3.5 Watts only

Useful Applications:

Telephone conference, Voice Conference, Voiceconferencing, Audioconference, Telco.

Options to initiate a phone conference:

  1. Meeting point:
The participants dial-in directly in the module with an extension number (...1 to ...9). This can be done internally and externally. A “meeting point” is defined by indicating a time and an extension number.
Example: A project leader spreads an e-mail “Teleconference at 5 pm under extension +49 2166 858 174” to all requested participants. All project members will then dial into the KOMMUTEL DIAL IN module.
  2. Operator:
An operator (e.g. a secretary) can connect a participant by transferring into a virtual conference room. Simply by regular switch to an extension number (...0). This initial dialing into the conference room with CLIP locks this room for the duration of the call against the dialing attempts from other telephones (“closed conference“). Therefore, further members can only participate in this conference with the same participant code (CLIP), i.e. through the intervention of the operator.
Example: A secretary spontaneously calls a required participant and transfers the call into the conference room. Sequentially, she will call all other participants and, in the end, she optionally dials in by herself. Only calls that are transferred by her will be allowed to join the conference room.
Note: The extension code (...0) can be dialed a second time by another operator with another participant code (CLIP) so that a closed conference can be executed by a number of groups simultaneously. The channels which are no longer occupied will be released for other calls or conferences.

Of course, KOMMUTEL DIAL IN can be completed by the TAS-Server and Web-software KOMMUTEL DIAL OUT.
