The KOMMUTEL DIAL OUT conference server is connected to any existing telephone exchange and enhances its performance by specific dialling and messaging functions for telephone conferences.

KOMMUTEL is able to establish a connection for 30-120 channels simultaneously, depending on the stage of expansion (1-4 pc. S2M PRI Connections). A various number of teleconferences may be processed at the same time, up to the number of available ISDN-channels.
The KOMMUTEL System, 19 inch 1 unit incl. Web-access dna data base, enables the following performance features:
- Administration of Access to the conference rooms
- Administration of participants; persons and groups of persons
- Administration of PIN codes, if necessary
- Initialization of previously configured telephone conferences
- Call of participants worldwide; alternative call numbers if participants cannot be reached
- Message / announcement management
All administration may be done by web-browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox). The following possibilities exist to summon a conference:
WEB- Browser / mouse control / keyboard:
Every conference can be initiated directly on the PC or via Internet/Intranet (if the system is additionally connected to a LAN).

Speed Dial Button:
Predefined extension numbers in the system can be used to summon defined conference groups. A CLIP identification (terminal identification) or an authentication of a participant via DTMF can be carried out simultaneously, to protect against abuse.

Timer, Time control:
The initialization of periodical conferences (weekly, daily) can be configurated (e.g. field service – sales - meetings).

“Chief-Conference”:
Initiation by speed dial button: Contrary to regular phoneconferences, the initiator (“Chief”) is allowed to terminate a conference by hang-up. All members receive a final announcement (i.e. “The conference has been terminated”) and will be disconnected thereafter.

Supposable applications:
Subsidiary conference with abbreviated dialing key
A manager of a (multi-national) company must communicate with the managers of his subsidiaries in different intervals. For this purpose, he uses an abbreviated dialing key in which all desired participants are stored. Pressing this key causes KOMMUTEL DIAL-OUT to automatically call all participants, sends a welcome text and connects the participants to a conference. In case these dialing attempts fail, the system uses alternative numbers according to stored parameters. The initialization as well as the participation in a conference can be protected by a PIN code.
Subsidiary conference with the secretarial office
The software KOMMUTEL DIAL OUT can be called from the Intranet by every workplace in a company. The secretary of a manager starts a conference by including every participant directly and spontaneously per “drag & drop”.
Crisis staff conference
The board of directors of the board of a joint-stock company is obliged by law to define and internally reveal an alarm and management plan for critical cases. The communication medium is KOMMUTEL since the board of directors and the crisis staff have to be informed directly and in the same time and must communicate with each other within seconds.
Dial-in conference of the field service of a company
The salesmen of a company “meet” once a week in a virtual conference room of the KOMMUTEL module to discuss the sales. It is of no importance whether every participant dials-in himself in the running conference or is called by the sales manager. All initiated conferences are stores in the event memory of the control computer. The file can be stored externally and it is also possible to select a log of the conference by day.
Secretary conference
A secretary is asked to enter some participants ad hoc in a “closed” conference room. To protect confidential contents against undesired listeners, the conference is protected by A-participants. This makes sure that only the originally requested secretary is allowed to “intervene” in a conference.
“Manager conference”
In contrast to the traditional conferences, the initiator of the conference ends the current conference by ringing off. All participants then get a final message and are disconnected.
Editor conference of publishers
Newspaper publishers have to discuss actual topics efficiently every day. The available time is never sufficient to ask every participating person to take a seat in the conference room. A solution is provided by a telephone conference which can be initiated anytime within seconds.
